In early 2022, given the strong clinical results of the ketamine program, Hudson Health expanded its mental health practice to help Hudson Mind patients living with treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. Hudson Mind’s Interventional Mental Health offering also includes Dual Sympathetic Blocks, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and a streamlined BioReboot combination.

Treatments

Ketamine IV Infusions – Since the official launch of the Hudson Mind division in 2022, ketamine IV infusions have become the practice’s foundational therapy for alleviating treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. 90% of patients report lasting relief after completing the recommended treatment cycle of six sessions.

Hudson Mind’s ketamine IV infusions for depression and anxiety were officially introduced under the additional guidance of Dr. Glen Brooks, one of the world’s foremost ketamine infusion therapy leaders. Dr. Brooks has helped more patients than any other ketamine practitioner globally, and as a member of our advisory board, he brings his practical ketamine experience and pioneering vision to Hudson Mind.

In addition to the ketamine IV program, Hudson Mind’s Interventional Mental Health offering includes Dual Sympathetic Blocks, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and a streamlined BioReboot combination.

Dual Sympathetic Blocks (DSB), sometimes known as Stellate Ganglion Blocks, are proven to reduce the physical symptoms of PTSD and chronic anxiety. During the quick, minimally-invasive Block treatment, a local anesthetic is applied to a nerve cluster that coordinates the sympathetic nervous system’s fight-or-flight response. This temporary time-out gives the body’s sympathetic nervous system the chance to rest and reset, and can rapidly diminish the feelings of heightened anxiety and panic. Patients often find that after receiving DSB, they are able to make profound breakthroughs in talk-therapy because they are no longer encumbered by heightened anxiety.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) delivers lasting relief for symptoms of depression and OCD. TMS uses MRI-strength magnetic pulses to reactivate neurotransmitters that have lost function due to chronic stress and depression in the brain. TMS effectively revives the depressed brain’s interconnected messaging system, making it possible to receive new messages and form new connections. TMS is covered by most major insurances.

Special Programs

BioReboot comprises three treatments: Dual Sympathetic Block, ketamine IV, and a Slow Wave session. The treatments are administered consecutively to optimize stress alleviation and full-body relaxation.

The Dual Sympathetic Block is administered first to reset your nervous system’s fight-or-flight response state. With a rebooted nervous system—unencumbered by anxiety—the ketamine IV can transport you on a mind-opening journey. Finally, your BioReboot will close out with parasympathetic toning on the Slow Wave chair to increase your body’s ability to relax.

Hudson Mind is located in the heart of New York City’s West Village. Our space was designed with thoughtful, meditative details to promote comfort and relaxation throughout every step of the ketamine IV experience. Our patients are encouraged to mentally prepare for their ketamine journey in our quiet Welcome Lounge, and reacclimate in our soothing Recovery Lounge.

The beautiful space had thoughtful details everywhere and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was incredibly comfortable. The infusion was pleasant and easy, and provided a deep sense of relief from the chaos of daily life. I left feeling like I was on cloud nine. So grateful to Dr. Kuo and his staff for creating such a peaceful experience.
